Breakfast Cookery

Camp begins at 9 AM with Breakfast Cookery where Young Chefs learn the Top 10 Breakfast Recipes to know how to Cook. kitchen safety, food safety, basic nutrition, cooking methods, and techniques.

Culinary Skills and Meal Preparing

After 11:30 AM Camp focuses on learning the timing of recipe prep and how to plan pre-plan meal prep. Camper will cook 10 - 15 different recipes throughout the week.

 

Culinary Camp teaches Young Chefs ages 8 to 16:

  • How safely cook poultry, red meat, pork, and seafood to the right temperature.

Principles of Baking Camp

To be successful at Baking, it's important to have a basic understanding of how baking ingredients function and how they react to each other. Food Adventures Baking Camp teaches students the knowledge of the principles and processes of baking; that results in students with the ability to follow and create their baking recipes.

  • Functions and preparations of Baking ingredients.
  • Understanding leavening when baking.
  • Difference between the three leavening methods in baking and applying them to Muffins and Scones.
  • The 6 Baking Methods and techniques for mixing or combining batters and dough.
  • Lean and Enriched Dough.
  • Instant yeast used in vs Living yeast bread.
